Picture clue this week

The first show of the year. You can listen to it here: KMB#147

In 1978, Lene Lovich recorded a cover of I think we're alone now. That didn't chart, but the following year the single was re-released with A and B sides swapped over (if you don't know what a B side was, ask your parents). Anyway, the new A side was "Lucky Number", which we played. A little trivia: do you remember the crowd singing along on Chuck Berry's "My ding a ling"? Lene Lovitch was one of those singing along.

Our Listeners' Choice theme was "infidelity" - a reach seam of songs to mine, presumably mirroring real life, ranging from Shaggy to Tom Jones with a little Gordon Lightfoot to round things off.

We're used to songs that fade out, but Six of the Best this week was songs that fade in. There were lots but I found the best six including from Dire Straits, Fleetwood Mac and The Alan Parsons Project.

The picture track - that's the picture above - was Tusk by Fleetwood Mac, correctly guessed by Wendy.

We lost Johnnie Walker this week. He was one of the greats, starting on pirate radio and moving on the BBC, both Radio 1 and Radio 2 with some time in the USA as well. He'd been ill for some time and finally went to that big radio station in the sky on new year's eve. They have some really great DJs on that station. We celebrated his life with two of Johnnie Walker's favourites

We'll be back next Thursday on Mixcloud.
